Assistant Director - Site Lead (Contract Manager) Contract Manager - PFAS Investigation Program EL1 Core Responsibilities: Lead and manage individual airport PFAS investigations, acting as the primary point of contact between consultants, auditors, airports, EPAs and the department. Oversee contract administration, scheduling, budgets and contract variations for the PFAS investigations. Manage and monitor investigation progress, identifying and addressing risks. Lead stakeholder engagement, including participation in community forums Supervise and mentor APS level officers, contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of program objectives. Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications or experience in procurement, contract management, program management and finance/budget management. Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail. Experience in managing competing priorities and stakeholder relations. Ability to apply critical thinking and make sound decisions in complex situations. Assistant Director - Regulatory Compliance Assistant Director, Regulatory Compliance - Environmental Regulation EL1 Core Responsibilities: Develop and document the scope of a new regulatory compliance function, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Apply environmental legislation (Airports Act 1996, Airports (Environmental Protection) Regulations 1997) and ensure consistent interpretation. Lead compliance monitoring and enforcement actions while managing risk. Provide technical advice and develop policy for the regulatory function. Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications in Environmental Science, Law, or a related field or significant relevant work experience. Experience in regulatory compliance or enforcement roles. Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to interpret complex legislative and technical materials. Assistant Director - Governance Assistant Director, Governance - Environmental Regulation EL1 Core Responsibilities: Contribute to the strategic direction of the Environmental Regulation section. Conduct research and develop policy advice, meeting briefs and regulatory documents. Support the development of a risk-based regulatory policy and governance framework. Manage staff and provide leadership in regulatory compliance matters. Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Experience with governance frameworks and policy development. Strong research, analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to deliver clear communication for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders. Experience in managing teams and staff development.
