Job Summary UCSF's Emergency Department is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to staff our busy tertiary care hospital. We treat complex patients and pride ourselves with providing the best care to each and every patient.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $89.66 - $120.66 (Hourly Rate).The emergency department at UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights provides care for patients with urgent medical conditions, ranging from complex events, such as heart attacks and strokes, to simple but pressing injuries, such as deep cuts and broken bones. We are open every day, 24 hours a day, and serve more than 40,000 patients a year. We are the Bay Area's only Level 1 geriatric emergency department and serve as a primary stroke and STEMI receiving center.Our team includes board-certified emergency medicine doctors, nurses trained in emergency and critical care, and other specialists we can call upon as needed. We have access to experts in cardiology, neurology, gynecology, orthopedics, geriatrics, organ transplantation, surgery and other disciplines.Required Qualifications A minimum of 2 years PA experience in an Emergency Department or completion of an APP Emergency Fellowship.Preferred Qualifications Five (5) years PA experience in an Emergency Department.License/Certification Current California Physician Assistant License (PA).California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice.Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS.Current AHA PALS.Current AHA ACLS.UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day.
