Key Responsibilities
* Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and delicious meals considering dietary requirements and preferences to cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Your culinary creations will satisfy appetites and contribute to the overall well-being and happiness of those in our care.
* Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain the kitchen and all equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly manner, adhering to health and safety standards.
* Inventory Management: Assist in ordering supplies and managing stock levels to guarantee the availability of fresh ingredients.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to meal counts, inventory, and kitchen operations.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Hospitality Team Leader and other staff to deliver cohesive and high-quality services.
* Compliance: Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
* Resident Satisfaction: Engage with residents to accommodate preferences and enhance dining experiences.

About You
* Culinary Expertise: Demonstrated experience in commercial cooking with a solid understanding of food hygiene practices and kitchen safety protocols.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
* Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with residents, staff, and suppliers, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
* Adaptability: Willingness to embrace change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
* Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation as a cook or chef in a similar setting is highly desirable.
* One year's experience as a commercial cook working in a hygiene-controlled environment.
* Current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check - or the ability to obtain.
