About the role Step into an exciting role as our Communications & PR Coordinator, where you'll work closely with our Communications & Media Manager and support our Multimedia Production Specialist. In this fast-paced position, you'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to craft dynamic, high-impact communications that captivate and inspire!
Public Relations - Assist in achieving impactful brand exposure by identifying and responding to media opportunities. You will pitch compelling stories and innovative ideas in a timely manner to digital, print, and broadcast outlets in line with company objectives to maximise reach and focus on continuous improvement. Copywriting and Editing - Create and edit content for our website, blog, campaigns, and newsletters, ensuring all communications reflect our voice and mission with brand integrity and consistency. Your attention to detail and proofreading skills will be essential for maintaining quality across various RSPCA communications and campaigns. Story Development - Support the creation of narratives through basic photography and strategic documentation, helping to highlight our initiatives and impact. Media Monitoring - Track media coverage, produce regular reports, and manage media lists to ensure effective communication strategies. Brand Ambassador Relations - Build and nurture relationships with our Brand Ambassadors, fostering a community of influencers and advocates for animal welfare. Project Management - Assist in the planning and execution of projects, contributing to the overall success of our communications efforts. About you A minimum of 2 years' experience in a communications or public relations role. A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial in this role. Strong proofreading, copywriting, attention to detail, problem solving, and storytelling abilities are essential to deliver high-quality outcomes tailored to varying audiences. You should feel confident engaging with external contacts, including media representatives. Excellent time management, planning, and active listening skills to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines. A motivated, self-starter who can operate independently and as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams/Zoom is essential. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is highly desirable. Experience with media monitoring platforms is highly desirable.
