About the role: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will oversee the administration of the ServiceNow platform, which involves designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow applications, modules and workflows tailored to meet business requirements.
Key responsibilities: Build and maintain comprehensive internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, and processes.
Analyse customer requirements to implement and customise ServiceNow products, focusing primarily on problem-solving through the platform.
Lead and participate in governance processes, including Program Governance and Demand Management.
Create and maintain a detailed architectural overview of the ServiceNow platform.
Design optimised business processes and workflows within ServiceNow, providing valuable recommendations for enhancements.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceNow applications.
Conduct peer code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and maintain best practices in development.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development and support of the ServiceNow Platform for ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and SecOps applications.
About you and your skills: Extensive experience in ServiceNow system administration and application development including scripting.
Proven track record in providing application support within the ServiceNow platform.
Relevant certifications in ServiceNow, including specializations and development credentials.
Hands-on experience implementing various ServiceNow products, such as ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps, and custom applications.
In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow common data model, CMDB, and the distinctions between customisations and configurations, as well as expertise in release management, performance management, and platform health management.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including technical staff, management, and external partners.
Experience in automation, DevOps, scripting, and agile delivery methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
