If you're passionate about ecology and eager to help us grow and innovate, we want to hear from you!About youWe're looking for a confident, enthusiastic leader with a strong ecology background in environmental consulting - ideally, someone with at least 10 years of experience and a proven track record of success in a similar role.In this role, you'll work directly with the Queensland Area Manager and Ecology/EMAC team, where you'll provide both technical leadership and support business growth. Key responsibilities include:Expanding our ecology project portfolio.Providing expert input for proposals and project bids.Supporting the strategic direction of our ecology team.Building and maintaining strategic client relationships.Providing guidance to our project managers with technical insights and project leadership.Mentoring team members to enhance skills and technical abilities.Ideally you will bring:A relevant degree in ecology or environmental science with an ecology specialism.Extensive Australian experience (minimum 10 years') in the environmental consulting industry (NSW and mining/infrastructure sectors experience would be highly regarded).Demonstrated success in managing a team and project managing complex ecology projects.Demonstrated health and safety leadership.A proven track record of developing business whilst leveraging existing relationships to expand the client base.Exceptional verbal communication, technical report writing and quality review skills.Industry recognition through certification, accreditation and/or active participation in related industry associations.Your work will directly contribute to Queensland's and national ecological sustainability and improve local environments for generations to come.What Kleinfelder can offerWe're a team of collaborative, supportive, and passionate environmental professionals who prioritise work-life balance with flexible working options.
