What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitable Quality Engineer to join the TPS Operations Division. The TPS Operations Division incorporates Toyota Production System Support Centre (TSSC), Toyota Conversions and Centralised Services. Leveraging our TPS heritage as a cornerstone, we aim to establish a centre of excellence, bolstering our knowledge and expertise in this area for the benefit of all TMCA and its stakeholders.
The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for the implementation of Quality frameworks to establish a robust defect detection, containment and recurrence prevention framework to ultimately prevent defect outflow to the customer
How you’ll make an impact
11. Visualise and report the overall Quality performance of the production facility.
12. Facilitate stakeholder involvement through effective identification of defect occurrence hotspots and assignment of recurrence prevention activities to drive down defect occurrence.
13. Deep recurrence prevention analysis and implement countermeasures to strengthen the Quality Assurance process and follow up on supplier Kaizen feedback.
14. Support QC leadership to implement Kaizen opportunities, while maintaining Safety, Quality and Productivity targets
15. Support QC leadership in managing assigned area through FMDS visual control and generate Kaizen opportunities.
16. Manage Kaizen project budgets and schedules in line with divisional targets.
17. Support changepoint management through timely action of changepoint requests.
18. Participates in scheduling and planning activities for projects.
19. Monitor and analyse performance against targets for own area and recommends countermeasures where required.

20. Degree qualification in engineering
21. 4+ years’ of accumulative engineering experience
22. Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and/or Toyota Production System (TPS)
23. Familiar with vehicle operation and systems, assembly methods, and quality requirements
24. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
25. Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team.
26. Excellent communication skills & the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to influence & implement change.
