About this role
We are currently looking for both qualified and unqualified Personal Care Workers to join our tight-knit community where our residents are the centre of our care. Working alongside a group of dedicated professionals, you will assist residents in daily living activities that meet their individual physical, spiritual, social, and cultural needs.
In this varied role, your day-to-day tasks may include:
* Participating in the development and review of resident/client care plans, including completing charting and reporting any observed changes in a resident's health to the Registered Nurse;
* Undertaking and completing a number of different tasks, as delegated by the Registered Nurse;
* Maintaining the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives, and staff, ensuring that all interactions are treated confidentially;
* Supporting and assisting in the provision of a comfortable, safe, and secure environment.
What you can bring to the team
The ideal candidate will be caring, empathetic, happy, flexible to work afternoons and nights, and have experience in aged care. In this position, the opening of an additional 16-bed cottage will require the assistance of more personal care workers, both full-time and part-time, to provide the best possible care to our residents.
As a compassionate individual, you are passionate about caring for our seniors and take pride in the care that you provide. You will enjoy taking time to build relationships and getting to know our residents to provide them with the best possible care.
You are a positive individual who works well with others and is happy to support your fellow team members.
Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally should include:
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support;
* Demonstrated solid experience in Aged Care;
* Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7-day week;
* Current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain.
