We are recruiting a Health Safety & Training Superintendent (Lead) on a permanent full-time basis.If you would like to work for a fast growing and thriving, copper and critical minerals mining company in a collaborative and welcoming environment, we want to hear from youThe Role:Located in Cloncurry at the Great Australia mine, we are currently seeking a Health, Safety, and Training Superintendent (Lead) to join the True North Copper’s Leadership team. In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager | Cloncurry operations and play a crucial part in overseeing the Health, Safety, and Training function across multiple operations. You will provide leadership driving a culture of safety and excellence while continuously improving the Health, Safety and Training Management System.About you:At least three years’ experience in a leadership role in workplace health and safety in mining or construction with responsibility for Health, Safety and Training, ideally applying QLD legislation (desirable), Key responsibilities •Ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met as defined by the MQSH Act 1999 and the MQSH Regulations 2017 •Monitor compliance with all safety systems and procedures within the workplace in accordance with TNC policy and procedures. •Ensure that TNC employees have a clear understanding or their individual responsibilities and obligations. •Deliver training, verify competencies and contribute to safe operations. •Assist the TNC Management Team and supervisors in ensuring training needs are identified and meet the desired outcomes. •Define and establish a positive safety leadership culture around Health & Safety, Emergency Management on all TNC Sites. •Participate in and lead incident investigations. •Investigate ways to gain government assistance for nationally accredited training.•Write the safety section of the monthly report and keep all site safety stats up to date.•Promote a safe and healthy work culture through the True North Copper safety management system.•Driving data capture analysis & outputs on a weekly/monthly in reporting to the company To be successful you will need to have:•Hold a current Driver’s “C” Class license valid in the state of Queensland.•The right to work in Australia.•Ability to undertake a Pre-employment medical & D&A screening in line with RSHQ requirements.•National Police Check •Certificate IV Work Health and Safety•Certificate IV Assessment & Training•ICAM -Incident Lead Investigator program•RIIRIS301E – Apply risk management processes. •RIIWHS301E – Conduct safety and Health investigations•RIICOM301E – Communicate InformationWhat we offer:•Meals and accommodation are provided, for non-residents of Cloncurry. •Employee Assistance Program •Generous salary packages•8/6 Family friendly lifestyle roster•Consider relocation to Cloncurry - Generous relocation incentive package •Local Residential Allowance – CloncurryHow to apply:True North Copper Ltd is committed to our mission to earn the trust of all our employees, partners, businesses, and stakeholders through the safe and responsible development of the region's natural copper resources and to recruiting and retaining the best people for the job.
