Job Title: Technical Facilities Manager
About the Opportunity
The Technical Facilities Manager will provide technical leadership and direction to ensure the reliability of the building's fabric is cost-effective with asset lifecycles and maintained in accordance with all relevant standards.
This role will also be involved in contract management of the University's preferred building contractors to improve efficiencies in repairs and maintenance within a controlled budget.
Buildding professional partnerships with teams, service providers, and University stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services on time and on budget, with a strong focus on practical installation, configuration, and communication.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Implement and manage campus asset management strategies and deliver improvements and up-grade programs in consultation with team members.
* Particular focus on physical structures that make up the building, including its walls, floors, roof, and other components.
* Maintain a documented Quality Assurance system for asset management which incorporates asset risk management and control of critical documents.
* Provide technical and sustainability input and advice to the Facilities Management Team.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative obligations.
* Ensure all works are done in accordance with up-to-date design standards and with best practices.
About You
You should have:
* Demonstrated experience within a facilities management environment.
* Experience working with multiple significant assets and buildings.
* Experience of current WH&S, QA, environmental legislation, and systems.
* Familiarity with the operation of services (mechanical, hydraulic, lifts, fire, electrical etc.) and services delivery.
