Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our IT infrastructure. With your extensive experience and agile approach, you will ensure seamless IT support and onboarding for new starters while maintaining a reliable and efficient system for existing employees. * Network Management: Oversee and maintain the organisation's network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and DNS configurations.
* Endpoint Security: Administer endpoint security solutions, including MS Office 365 security, ensuring that devices and user accounts are safe from threats.
* Active Directory Management: Manage and maintain Active Directory, ensuring secure user authentication and access control. Familiarity with hybrid environments Windows Server based, Intune and Entra.
* System Administration: Manage and troubleshoot various endpoints, ensuring smooth and secure operations across all devices.
* Collaboration Tools Management: Administer and support MS Office 365, including Outlook email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams to ensure efficient and secure communication and collaboration.
* IT Support: Provide hands-on technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Assist with onboarding new users and ensure staff have the resources and support they need to perform their roles effectively.
* Cloud Management: Work with cloud technologies (preferably AWS), assisting with the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of services as needed.
* Incident & Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve issues affecting network, security, or systems functionality, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of systems, networks, configurations, and support procedures. Provide regular reports on the health of the IT environment.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in network administration, systems administration, or IT management.
* Hands-on experience with managing firewalls, switches, VPNs, and DNS.
* Expertise in managing MS Office 365 environments, including email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and endpoint security.
* Experience with Active Directory and user/group management. Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Entra.
* Strong knowledge of endpoint management tools and practices.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively and efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS management and DevOps) is a plus.
