Personal Care Assistant - Full Time Position

We are looking for an experienced & passionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team on a permanent full- time basis.
Available locations:
* St Catherine's Aged Care, Bathurst
* Macquarie Care Centre, Bathurst
* St Francis Aged Care, Orange
As part of our dedicated team you will create a safe, home like environment for our residents and will be responsible for providing resident personal care including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, toileting, assisting with meals service, mobility, and social support;
* Providing a high standard of care that supports residents achieve maximum independence by meeting daily living and personal requirements within the care plan, and with consideration of individual preferences.
* Providing direct resident care including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing and toileting
* Providing direct resident care in relation to assisting with meals service, mobility, and social support
* Providing general resident support including making resident beds, tidying their room, and offering companionship
* Preparing the resident dining rooms for meal service and cleaning away at the end of a meal service
* Assisting residents who wish to participate in leisure and lifestyle activities
* Promptly responding to resident call buttons for assistance
* Promptly reporting any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse on duty
* Enhancing the resident experience through building great relationships with residents and their family members and responding quickly to feedback
To be successful in this role you'll need:
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) (or equivalent)
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home
* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
* Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
* Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Flexibility & the ability to adapt to change
* Must be able to provide evidence of Covid Vaccinations
* Willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
These are full-time positions, which include working shifts across weekdays and weekends with a minimum annual salary of $70,000 .
