The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide maintenance activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner upholding production and statutory requirements. Working within skilled and enthusiastic teams, this position will allow you to develop and apply your technical skills and mining industry knowledge.
This challenging role will see you being part of the Mines Power Station Maintenance team providing Statutory, Preventative and Breakdown maintenance of Turbo Alternators, Boilers, Oxygen Plants, Colling Towers, Water treatment plant, Blowers, Compressors, Tanks, and pressure vessels.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
* Ability to think logically and solve problems
* Previous power generation or high-speed rotating equipment experience
* Current manual driver’s license
* Experience within mining/heavy industry environment
* Sound computer skill’s including Microsoft Office
* A demonstrated commitment to safety
* A self-motivated Solution Seeking attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive teams
* The ability to adapt to change in duties from day to day
