As a Senior Government Communications Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic communication plans for our government clients.
You will collaborate with a talented team of communication experts to shape public perception, manage crises, and provide counsel to senior government officials.
If you have a passion for public affairs, a deep understanding of government processes, and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:Strategic Counsel: Provide high-level strategic communications advice to government clients, helping them achieve their communication objectives and navigate complex issues.Message Development: Craft clear and compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring consistency and alignment with government priorities.Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and manage crisis situations effectively.Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, industry groups, and community organizations, to build partnerships and support government initiatives.Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans, including rapid response strategies, to protect the reputation of government clients during challenging situations.Public Affairs Campaigns: Design and execute comprehensive public affairs campaigns to promote government policies and initiatives, utilizing a variety of communication channels.Policy Analysis: Stay informed about government policies, regulations, and trends to provide informed guidance to clients and adapt communication strategies accordingly.Team Collaboration: Work closely with a cross-functional team of communication professionals, including writers, designers, and digital specialists, to deliver integrated communication solutions.Measurement and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the impact of communication efforts, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, political science, or a related field.
A master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 8 years of experience in government communications, public affairs, or a related field.Strong understanding of government processes.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.Proven ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies.Experience managing crises and providing counsel to senior government officials.Proficiency in media relations and crisis communication.Strategic thinking and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
