South East Queensland Hauliers is a full service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960's, SEQH have grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers whilst still remaining a family owned and operated business.
SEQH reside on company owned sites in both Hemmant and Toowoomba. Both of which are undergoing current + 2025 future planned infrastructure developments that have been initiated by genuine growth. It’s an exciting time to join!
About the role:
The role reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer and is located at the SEQH Head Office in Hemmant QLD. This role is an all-rounder position primarily focused on Accounts Receivable. It is well-suited for recent accounting graduates, offering exposure to various aspects of the finance team, as well as opportunities for experienced entry-level finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities: The primary focus of this position is Accounts Receivable; however, you may also assist with accounts payable and payroll when necessary.
Accounts Receivable:
* Preparing customer invoices
* Issuing credit notes and processing refunds.
* Issue customer statements within 5 days from EOM.
* Monitoring overdue invoices, chasing them up and escalating late payments to Management if necessary
* Oversee the customer mailbox
Payroll:
* Assist with processing weekly payroll via Employment Hero.
Accounts Payable:
* Supplier invoice entry, PO matching and job cost centre allocation.

* Attention to Detail: Meticulous in work to ensure accuracy.

* Integrity: Upholds ethical standards and trustworthiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
* A bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant experience in a bookkeeping/accounts all-rounder role.
* Proficiency in MYOB (or similar accounting software).
* Payroll experience
* Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
