About the role
The Group Health and Wellbeing Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Group Health, Wellbeing, Safety and Environment (HWSE) strategy focused on psychosocial risk management and development and implementation of risk reduction health and wellbeing initiatives, including workers compensation and injury management.
This role will provide expertise to create a culture that prioritises employee wellbeing, minimises the risk of work-related injuries and illnesses, and fosters a healthy and productive work environment for our people Your responsibilities will include:
1. Provide specialist advice guidance on injury prevention, injury management, rehabilitation, and return to work processes, including the development of suitable duties plans and associated documentation
2. Collaborate and support on the development and implementation of systems for managing Health, Wellbeing, Safety and Environment (HWSE) risks, specifically those related to health, hygiene and psychosocial
3. Champion a supportive and effective early intervention and return to work program for employees experiencing injury or illness, providing coaching and education to employees and leaders
4. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to cultivate a culture that prioritises healthy activities and behaviours.
5. Manage and maintain all workers' compensation claims and related communication within secure health data storage systems.
About You:
6. 3-5 years experience in injury management, RTW coordination, personal injury, or workers' compensation insurance.
7. You have significant experience in managing workers compensation and injury management programs
8. We are open to considering Allied Health professionals who are looking to get into a corporate environment and make a real difference in preventing injury and focusing on wellbeing.
9. Demonstrate a proven track record of creating and delivering successful health strategies and injury/illness prevention programs including psychosocial risk management
10. Ability to understand trends in order to identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to support the health and wellbeing culture.
11. Comfortable working in a team, but also able to work independently and use own initiative to plan tasks and manage workload.
12. Excel at building and maintaining strong partnerships, particularly with external stakeholders like insurers and regulators
13. Your work ethic and passion in supporting people’s health and wellbeing along with preventing injuries drives and motivates you
14. You’re not afraid to be challenged and think outside the box to come up with new ideas
