What success looks like in this role:
1. Transition Manager is responsible for assuring the following actions take place in line with contract schedules. These actions may be accomplished directly by the Transition Manager or through coordination of a transition team.
2. This role requires up to 60-80% travel.
3. Deal On-boarding: - Consults with bid management/account management and reviews project proposals, contracts and other documents to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
4. Conducts deal on-boarding sessions to assure that all stakeholders in the project, including the client, have a common understanding of the terms and conditions (including commercial, solution, pricing/costing and resources) of the project -
5. Ensure that all human resources activities occur to meet staffing requirements on service start date.
6. Develops and implements communication plans to address the total transition cycle and the initial steady state period.
7. Resource Management - Validates that the level of staff proposed, the source of staff, and their skill levels are in line with the contractual, financial, and solution requirements.
8. Produces a gap analysis related to resources and documents risks and contingency plans
9. Knowledge Transfer - Assures appropriate levels of due diligence and data gathering occur to allow for full validation of information and assumptions used in solution and proposal development. This includes such actions as client interviews, site visits, business process reviews, and other methods as appropriate.
10. Establish Financial Function - Assure project accounting structures and budgets are in place. Assure client billing processes and procedures are in place. Has ownership and full accountability for the Transition Budget
11. Develops and implements processes and procedures for variance/reporting, ARC’s /RRC’s, Change control account and other financial functions.
12. Solution Validation - Validates the assumptions used in project solution development
13. Produces a gap analysis to highlight differences between assumptions used in solution and actual data gathered in due diligence process - Creates a risk analysis and contingency plans to address the risks
14. Documents governance structure and processes
15. Governance - Produces a business relationship mapping model to show key relationships on the project.
16. Price Costing Validation - Validates the assumptions used in project pricing/costing development - Produces a gap analysis to highlight differences between assumptions used in pricing/costing and actual data gathered in due diligence process - Creates a risk analysis and contingency plans to address the risks
17. Project Planning and Management - Develop project plans by service tower - Develop service delivery milestones by service tower -
18. Client Acceptance of Transition Plan - Develop and deliver formal Transition Plan to client - Review Transition Plan with client, document changes and obtain client approval of plan.

You will be successful in this role if you have:
19. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Management/Administration or advanced degree in related discipline or equivalent
20. NV1 Clerance is must to have.
21. 8 -12 years of related experience.
22. Experienced leader in managing all aspects of large-scale outsourcing transitions including seamless integration of various technology service towers from multiple vendors
23. Excellent communication skills
24. Experienced in setting up and leading a PMO
25. Excellent project management and project planning skills to anticipate best and worst case scenarios in transition design structures
26. Excellent program management skills and experience, including group facilitation and team management skills
27. General Financial skills and understanding
28. Experience managing third party suppliers
29. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent certification, required
30. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) training and certification desired
