ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Establishes departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety environmental and infection control standards.
* Assists in decision on equipment included in the preventive maintenance program. Manages work orders for preventive maintenance assigned to his crew.
* Acts as technical representative, when constructing of building and/or the providing of contract services, on facilities projects.
* Schedules appropriate training, universal precautions, infectious control in-service, and appropriate safety training for all personnel of the Maintenance Department.
* Maintains level of expertise in field of expertise.
* Must have basic knowledge of and ability to implement aspects of the Universal Building Code, National Fire Code, Universal Plumbing Code, Universal Mechanical Code, OSHA, Americans with Disabilities Act, NFPA Life & Safety Codes.
* Must have knowledge of required permits and licenses, and how to obtain them.
* Must have experience in cost estimation and budget experience for various maintenance accounts.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
