About this role Come join our client's Brisbane Risk Consulting team, where you'll work with a great group of people delivering top-notch risk management and internal audit services.
They are looking for Senior Associates or Associates who have experience in internal audit. Key responsibilities Take the lead on client projects from start to finish, with support and direction from a manager.
Get to know clients' risk landscapes and use your expertise to deliver great results.
Create engagement plans that focus on high-risk areas and find ways to bring extra value.
Oversee on-site project delivery, handle client communication, and guide junior team members while offering mentorship.
Work closely with managers to produce top-notch reports and deliverables.
Use your analytical skills and critical thinking to help solve business challenges.
Present findings to clients and internal teams to help shape their decisions.
Review and refine recommendations, making sure they fit within the client's overall business context.
Keep an eye on project budgets, track spending, and raise any potential overruns early.
Skills and experience Previous experience in business risk, business process review, or internal audit.
Sound understanding of control documentation and assessment.
Experience in business process review and improvement through facilitation and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to manage risk across medium to complex projects.
Strong understanding of controls, including creating quality testing documentation and performing gap assessments.
Ability to engage with clients and diverse stakeholder groups at all levels of a business.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong report writing ability.
Well-developed listening and questioning techniques, supported by analytical skills and organisational abilities.
Strong team-working skills, with experience supervising and developing junior staff.
A curious mindset, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
CA or other relevant professional qualification, or post-grad qualifications such as IIA, are preferred.
