In this role, you'll:
Combine paid work with structured training, allowing you to learn a trade while working towards a nationally accredited qualification. No previous experience is required – you’ll learn everything you need to know throughout the program.
This Civil Construction Apprenticeship program will be based in Bowenfels, commencing in July 2024, so get ready to kick start your career with NSW’s leading Transport Agency, Transport for NSW!

About you:
You’re a team player, with a great attitude and hold yourself accountable for doing your best in school, work, and play. You enthusiastically seek out new opportunities to learn and have a good grip on your time management and prioritisation skills.
1. You are an Australian/NZ citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident
2. You have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent
3. You are able to commence full time employment in July 2024
4. You possess or are in the process of obtaining C class driver’s licence
5. You have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot?
6. You are comfortable with working at heights, in confined spaces or within live traffic as required in the role
7. You are aware that travel is required as part of this role
8. You have proven basic computer literacy

9. 3-year fixed term full-time Apprenticeship
10. Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) through structured in person classes at TAFE
11. Develop your soft skills like communication, problem solving and teamwork
Rates of pay is dependent on age, please see below for details:
Under 21 years of age (as at commencement date) $ per week
21 years of age or over (as at commencement date) $ per week
Please note: these pay rates are effective as at 1 July 2023.
A virtual Information session for these positions will occur early March 2024, please look out for an email invitation to attend the session.
