About the Team The Engagement and transformation team are responsible for supporting the Commission to collaboratively broker between the business and Digital. This is achieved by the development, implementation, regular review and reporting against the Engagement and transformation Strategy and the Organisational Workforce plan.
About the Role The role of the Business Analyst is to support the ACQSC by ensuring changes to processes and business support systems have been analysed, opportunities, problems and risks identified, requirements documented, and potential implementation prioritized, and timeframes identified.
This role is vital in ensuring business continuity in parallel with improving processes, technology and implementing legislative changes.
Position Duties Conducting interviews and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to establish a baseline for planned state changes to processes or systems. Analyse current processes to identify and define opportunities, problems and risks. Designing future state processes by considering legislative and compliance requirements, existing system capabilities, in-house and external development and enhancement capabilities, and efficient process methodology. Preparing detailed requirements, specifications, process maps, required changes, and recommendation documents on proposed changes to structures, processes, systems, data and metrics, using the latest business analysis tools and techniques. Contributing to the achievement of project objectives and priorities through the application of project knowledge and business analysis expertise. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, understanding their expectations regarding the Commission's direction, structure and business requirements to ensure the delivery of quality project outcomes. Adhering to effective quality assurance controls. Effectively present and communicate information to end users via appropriate tools and channels. Undertaking process development activities including human and system process workflows. Provide business analysis support to project managers. Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria) To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
Must hold or is able to obtain a baseline security clearance (must be an Australian Citizen). Planning, scheduling and leading project workstreams to a successful outcome, particularly in a systems implementation project scenario. Data and information research, extraction, collection, analysis, and presentation. Liaising and communicating with project stakeholders, including internal management and Subject Matter Experts. Lean methodology. Sound understanding of technology and business systems both strategic and operational. Demonstrated experience in business process improvement / redesign, data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis. Demonstrated experience in business requirements and systems analysis. Demonstrated MS Office skills and SharePoint. Highly organised with a thorough attention to detail and finalisation of tasks in a timely manner. Highly developed communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities. Display sound judgement in challenging environments; including the ability to work with geographically dispersed teams. Capacity to innovate and solve problems, including the ability to leverage opportunities. Ability to adapt approach to suit the audience and ability to negotiate persuasively. BABOK certification is desirable. Position Notes Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
