Position Information Parkes High School (enrolment 545 students, including 30% Aboriginal students) is proudly a NSW Department of Education comprehensive secondary school that provides education to an expanding rural community in the central west of NSW. Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach Technology Mandatory and at least one Stage 6 TAS subject. Demonstrated capacity to lead staff in the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning programs that are data driven, evidenced-based and have sustained and targeted impact on student performance to effectively engage 21st Century learners. Ability to build strong partnerships with industry, the wider community and partner primary schools. Demonstrated capacity to be a dynamic member of the executive leadership team and lead initiatives that address whole school strategic directions and nurture positive, quality relationships across the school and wider community. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
