Role Overview
We have an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join the national Financial Planning & Analysis team, based in Sydney. This critical role involves partnering with the business to provide commercial and strategic advice and analysis to business leaders, interacting and collaborating with the global Norton Rose Fulbright Finance team.
Responsibilities:
* Direct involvement in the preparation of timely and accurate budgets and forecasts by way of consultation with company Directors and Managers;
* Assist with the analysis, consultation and finalisation of budget preparation to ensure they meet local and global requirements;
* Upload and maintain annual expense budgets in the practice management system;
* Regularly meet with business leaders to provide meaningful and insightful analysis including commentary on expenses;
* Support a number of teams with in-depth understanding of the financial and commercial performance drivers for their respective areas;
* Provide matter and client analysis to practice teams and report on trends;
* Ensure consistent, accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis is produced to specified deadlines and client expectations, including ensuring the accuracy of regular reporting;
* Anticipate and report on trends;
* Provide teams across the firm with critical and comprehensive analysis for their respective areas and expense reporting.
Requirements:
* Ability to interpret financial data and undertake trend analysis;
* High level of attention to detail, analytical and conceptual skills;
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems;
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
* Effective written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
