They have recently delivered projects for Transgrid, AusNet and Defence and have secured more work with major clients. They are an emerging leader in the HV EPC space. The first role – Design Engineer – Primary Supporting the Engineering Manager, you will perform concept and detailed design for primary disciplines, including drafting and studies. You will also conduct design reviews focusing on single line diagram and substation layout & elevation for cables, earthing and various primary studies as well as cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP. The position is also responsible for RFI's, Acceptance testing, tender submissions, feasibility studies and so on. To be considered, you will need: A minimum of 7+ years local experience in HV and renewable infrastructure projects and AS 2067 from either the NSP or Contractor side. You are proficient in primary design, including substation layout, electrical clearance, short-circuit forces, EMF as well as Corona, cable, earthing, and lighting studies. Familiarity with HV equipment and proficiency in AUTOCAD and/or MicroStation. The second role - Junior Design Engineer - Civil Reporting to the engineering manager you will conduct concept design for civil and structural disciplines, including drafting and studies and perform design reviews. You will also support the Engineering Manager in conducting cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP. You will assist in designing components related to civil and structural aspects during tender and feasibility phases and liaise with the Project Team for Request for Information (RFIs) for all disciplines. To be considered, you will need: 2 – 5 years of local experience in utility scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on HV (High Voltage) and renewable energy projects. You will be proficient in civil design, including but not limited to hydrology, bench, pavement, drainage, stormwater management, access road, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ). A strong command of AUTOCAD, with proficiency in 12d analysis highly preferred. Experience with Tuflow or similar software and a sound understanding of civil related regulatory permits/approvals is also highly preferred.
