Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Procurement, this position utilizes change management principles to drive operational results by designing procurement transformation strategies.
This position assesses stakeholder impacts and organizational readiness through recommendations while supporting implementation through effective communication and training.
The Manager, Procurement Transformation will lead BC Transit's procurement modernization and transformation initiative, reviewing current procedures and identifying required improvements.
This position plays a key role in supporting the department and stakeholders in business operations, including procurement and contract-related decisions.
Requirements:
Experience in recent progressive change management, purchasing, contract management, supplier management, and lean processes.
In-depth knowledge of public procurement law, category management principles, and leadership experience in change management.
Demonstrated ability to analyze business, financial, technical, and legal issues and develop solutions.
Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as excellent business and political acumen.
