Your responsibilities will include:
The Help Desk Administrator shall provide day to day Service Desk support to project specific domain environments and networks (ISO LAN), including logistics & training management systems, user hardware, switches, routers, wireless systems, VoIP, multimedia & training devices and other IT hardware.
* Under general guidance, the System Administrator will:
* Support the deployment, configuration, and management of virtual and physical servers and desktops
* Maintain application packages through patching of applications, operating systems, in accordance with ISM and Corporate Information Policy and best practice
* Provide 1st and 2nd level helpdesk support for Program students and users, Program Partners, other Training Program activities such as classroom and simulator activities, mission planning and content learnings systems and remote deployments
* Work to ensure that events, incidents, and problems are resolved, ensuring uptime and optimum performance
* Participate and assist in business continuity/disaster recovery planning, documentation, and testing
About you:
It is essential that you have experience in Windows Server Administration, Windows Desktop Support and Troubleshooting technical issues within ICT environments. Experience with reading technical documentation, Software Scripting, and working with Virtual Machines & VMware is highly regarded. Applicants with experience working within a defence or engineering project environment are encouraged to apply.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
