You will be responsible for the organisation’s finance and systems, ensuring business efficiencies and compliance. About the role: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play both an operational and strategic role, as the company enters it’s next phase of growth. Specifically, you will: Ensure professional financial and accounting processes and systems are consistently maintained. This includes effective and efficient management of: - Payment systems and procedures - Daily bank reconciliation and cash flow - Accounts payable and accounts receivable - Payroll and related activities - Reporting of business performance and all aspects of the business management function Provide high quality, timely reporting that enables the business to function effectively Oversee and manage technology so that the team has the tools, software, technology and management support to deliver on their KPIs Manage risk, compliance, tax, legal and insurance in a proactive manner for the business Maintain relevant processes, procedures and external certification of our systems About you: As the ideal candidate, you will have: A tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or similar Circa 5 years’ experience in a corporate accounting or finance role Advanced Xero and Microsoft skills Demonstrated commercial acumen An enthusiastic and strong work ethic Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written Sound interpersonal skills A positive, motivated, flexible and can-do attitude A good understanding of IT systems and IT cloud infrastructure While not essential, any professional experience working in the engineering, architecture or construction industries will be highly regarded. About the offer: The budgeted salary for the role is between $100,000 and $120,000. In addition to your salary, you will receive continued professional development and further study support. A highly collaborative office, this particular role requires you to be in the office 5 days per week, though offers flexibility regarding start and finish time.
