Taronga Western Plains Zoo (TWPZ) in Dubbo is seeking a confident and energetic HR Advisor to join the People, Culture & Safety team.

About the Role…
Working alongside a dynamic HR team, this role provides invaluable advice and administrative services to managers and employees across the full employment lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone with strong HR generalist experience who has a deep interest in workforce planning, positive employee relations and shaping a people-focused culture.
Key Accountabilities…
1. Reporting to the Manager, People Operations and working in partnership with the Divisional Director of TWPZ, you will:
2. Be an active member of the TWPZ Management team
3. Act as the first point of contact for HR queries for specific client groups, providing advisory services to managers in performance management, employee relations and compliance with people policies and procedures
4. Coach and guide managers to build people management capability
5. Provide end-to-end support and coordination of key people processes, performance management, new employee onboarding and offboarding
6. Support HR and payroll activities, including position management, workforce planning (headcount and budget forecasting), recruitment and on/offboarding
7. Manage employee relations cases, including dispute management and investigations
8. Work closely with the People & Talent Administrator to assist with HR-related documentation preparation
9. Reporting, analytics and insights on people metrics (as required)

We are looking for a dynamic and practical HR generalist with a people-first focus. You’ll bring extensive HR knowledge, have a deep understanding of employment legislation, and enjoy working in an operational and hands-on environment.
Sound Excel skills and SuccessFactors (or similar HRIS) experience is desirable.
