Your New Role:
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting lead a team in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll legislation, and experience with relevant systems will contribute to the smooth operation of the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing:
You will be responsible for processing payroll for a high volume of employees on a fortnightly basis. Your meticulous approach to data entry and calculations will ensure accuracy.
* Legislation Expertise:
Interpret and apply relevant payroll legislation, including Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs). Your understanding of legal requirements will be essential.
* Collaboration :
Work closely with the HR and finance teams to ensure seamless data flow. Effective communication and teamwork are key.
* Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate payroll records and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
* Employee Support:
Handle payroll queries from employees, providing exceptional customer service.
What you'll need to succee d:
* Experience:
We seek candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior Payroll Officer.
* Payroll Systems:
Proficiency in using payroll-specific systems. Familiarity with these systems is crucial for efficient payroll management.
* WWVP Card:
A valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card is mandatory. This ensures compliance with our organisation's values and safety standards.
* Attention to Detail:
Your meticulous approach to data entry and calculations will contribute to accurate payroll processing.
* Team Player:
