Excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a great team in the Norwest Business Park.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Payroll Services Manager some of your key responsibilities will include:
* End-to-end payroll processing for clients across a broad selection of industries
* Processing out of cycle pay runs, adjustments, backpays, and termination pays
* Secure employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes
* Maintenance of confidential payroll records ensuring data integrity & security
* Annual & Long Service leave entitlement / accrual calculations as required
* Managing employee queries and providing direct assistance as necessary
* Reconciliation of monthly super guarantee; monthly processing & reporting
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this opportunity the ideal candidate will have:
* Proven payroll experience with exposure to all aspects of the payroll function – you will have a sound understanding of general Award interpretation, the Fair Work Act, and National Employment Standards.
* Understanding of standard allowances & deductions, salary sacrifice & packaging, Services Australia PPL & CSA, and ATO PAYGW requirements including variations & exemptions.
* The kind of personality that genuinely loves the payroll function – you have excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills and enjoy working with anything from a simple small business payroll to more complex and in-depth payroll for larger organisations.
* Exposure to various payroll platforms eg: CloudPayroll, Employment Hero, Humanforce, ADP, Xero, MYOB etc

This is a great opportunity and is perfectly suited to candidates that have solid payroll experience. You may be working for an outsourced payroll company like ADP or AccessPay where you are churning through the payroll for a variety of clients which has given you diverse experience but not the culture you’re looking for. Or perhaps you’re in an internal payroll position where you’re processing for a large amount of employees who also have different requirements that has given you the experience listed above.
