Overview
We are now accepting applications for Allied Health Assistants to join our 2024 Mid North Community and Allied Health casual pool based in Port Pirie.
As an Allied Health Assistant, your primary role is to provide assistance and support to the multi-discipline team in the delivery of Allied Health services to patients/clients of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network Community Health, under the supervision of an Allied Health professional.
Duties may include applying a range of specialised clinical screenings and patient treatments, under direction, to patients with complex needs, administrative tasks directly related to a patient intervention or episode of care, and participating in leading group-based therapies and/or education sessions for patients with diverse and complex needs.
Eligibility
Please note that this position is multi-classed as either AHA2 or AHA3, and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
Applicants must be eligible and willing to successfully complete Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, or Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent. Experience working in a service and knowledge of Allied Health Assistants is essential.
