About the Role
This role requires specialist technical expertise to provide engineering technical support. The role will involve executing tasks associated with providing engineering technical support and ensuring a robust risk and benefit-based assessment process is followed for engineering applications. This role will be based at Goonyella on a Monday to Friday roster, offering flexible travel options.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide specialist engineering expertise and ensure robust change control processes and documentation standards are followed.
2. Participate in reviews and audits and collaborate with discipline engineers across BMA.
3. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems.
4. Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities for continuous improvement.
5. Support and govern the accurate maintenance of the Operation's blueprint (engineering standards, specifications drawings, processes, systems and procedures), ensuring approved modifications of its plant, equipment and infrastructure.
6. Establish and maintain close working relationships with relevant departments, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
7. Ensure Safety, Constructability, Operability and Maintainability is preserved throughout the design lifecycle process.
8. Demonstrate commitment by never breaching procedures, practices or processes required by the Site Safety & Health Management System.
9. Validates that material risks for the sub-function are identified and related critical controls are implemented and are effective.
10. Provides input into plans, budgets, and targets for the sub-function and delivers against them.
11. Identifies and implements G&TS improvement initiatives.
About You
This role requires a degree-qualified Engineer with strong technical skills in a multi-disciplined environment. Additionally, the following attributes will be key to your success:
* Previous site-based experience (open cut) in asset integrity would be advantageous in this role.
* Detailed understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes with a demonstrated practical and hands-on approach.
* The ability to influence and build a relationship with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Being a collaborative team player, committed to delivering results and able to operate with a high level of autonomy.
* Self-motivated and energetic person who enjoys working and delivering results in a team environment.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
