Job Title: Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Team Support Officer

Salary Package: $61,005.00 - $65,562.00 per annum

Role Description:
The role will be part of a small team working in the public health section of our organisation. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of smoking prevention and cessation campaigns, information sessions, and community events. They will help develop respectful relationships with Barkly Region communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Team Leader and other PH staff to deliver smoking prevention and cessation campaigns, information sessions, and community events that are in accordance with the relevant guidelines and policies
* Help develop respectful relationships with Barkly Region communities
* Uphold the vision, mission and priorities of the organisation as determined by the Board of Directors
* Ensure all program materials are up to date, appropriate, relevant and engaging to the target audience
* Undertake administrative duties in line with program and organisational expectations, as directed
* Documenting and organising electronic client data records and registers
* Contribute to a culturally safe working environment
* Representing the TIS Program when collaborating with key stakeholders
* Work within the limits of confidentiality and privacy
* Travel to remote communities to deliver the TIS Program
* Participate in staff training and development
Requirements:
This position is open only to those who identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
Essential skills and experience include willingness to undertake relevant training, experience working in Aboriginal Community health or welfare services, ability to support the delivery of culturally responsive programs and services.
Desirable qualifications include experience and knowledge of the Tennant Creek and Barkly Region, and 4WD training.
Applicants must also hold a National Police Clearance, Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) card obtainment prior to commencement, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
