This position is crucial for identifying hazards and developing tailored mitigation strategies that meet the unique needs of diverse environments.Key responsibilities include:Leading thorough incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.Conducting comprehensive safety audits to ensure compliance with WHS regulations.Providing expert guidance to property teams and staff.Conducting engaging safety training programs, including WHS inductions for new employees.Fostering a positive safety culture that encourages proactive hazard reporting and the implementation of safety initiatives.Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.Participating in risk assessments and staying current on industry best practices to continuously enhance safety performance throughout the organisation.This role will support the Illawarra and surrounding areas and will require travel to all Warrigal locations.The benefits Recognising your valueHourly rate - $41.60 - $56.26 based on experience + packaging benefits + superNot For Profit salary packaging benefits - pay up to $18,550 less tax per year, meaning more money for youCareer break schemes, additional purchased leave and moreCommitment to ongoing professional and career developmentSubsidised access to your local gym and 200+ more across the country with a Fitness Passport24/7 access to mental, physical, social and financial support via Employee Assistance ProgramThe requirements What it takes to do this workTertiary Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related fieldSubstantial experience in a WHS advisory role or similarProven expertise in conducting incident investigations, leading safety audits, and developing hazard mitigation strategies.Experience managing emergency response activities, including fire drills and WHS inductions for new staff.In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and standards in various work environments.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for providing expert advice and tailored training.Capacity to influence and foster a positive safety culture.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for risk assessment and hazard control.First aid certificateCurrent NSW or ACT Driver's licenseWho we are A community who caresWarrigal has firmly established itself in the aged care community for over 60 years.
