You will also assist in reengineering existing products to contextualise materials for a blended and online learning environment to meet the needs of diverse users. This position reports to the Director, Product Development Network. This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 11 April 2025 unless otherwise determined. The position location will be flexible; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Commerciality, Teamwork, Innovation and Accountability.Scope concepts and requirements and advise on design options and software parameters in consultation with the Multimedia Team Leader and Instructional designers as it relates to the development of online educational content.Design, develop and implement multimedia content for engaging educational delivery in blended and online environments following client specifications.Design, create and develop interfaces which are visually appealing, user-friendly and demonstrate contemporary design practice following client specifications.Reengineer existing products to improve and enhance their usability and functionality in accordance with defined requirements and web standards.Undertake graphic design tasks relating to websites, multimedia and online educational delivery.Record, edit and produce audio, digital video and animation for educational purposes.Conduct usability testing of products.Provide technical expertise in applications including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Adobe Creative Suite, to develop interactive learning resources for web, Learning Management System and other applications.Develop, implement and follow work plans to meet the needs of clients in a timely and accurate manner.Maintain currency with contemporary design trends and changing technologies used in the delivery of educational content.Ensure development work adheres and complies with relevant web standards, visual style guides, product development processes, usability guidelines and quality assurance practices.Provide development and maintenance support and respond to issues, complaints and other ad hoc requirements relating to the Learning Management System and online content.Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.Ensure day-to-day activities align with business operations.Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.How you will be assessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:Proven ability to apply principles of contemporary multimedia development practice and develop digital resources demonstrated through proficiency in use of relevant technology and systems.Displays creativity and innovative thinking and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects with high level planning, analysis and problem-solving skills.Proven experience in working collaboratively and productively with a broad range of stakeholders, interconnecting with relevant business groups and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated commitment in the provision of outstanding client service.Highly Desirable RequirementsTertiary qualifications (minimum diploma level) in graphic design, multimedia design or other related field; or equivalent industry experience.How to applyIf you're interested in this role, click the 'Apply' button to submit your application via the TAFE Queensland Recruitment Portal.
