Job Description As the HSEQ Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of all HSEQ matters at a project and construction site level.Reporting directly to the National HSEQ & Operations Manager (who is based in Melbourne), you will work closely with the Site Managers & project delivery teams locally to ensure that HSEQ compliance is achieved and maintained for all projects at all times.In order for you to be successful in this role, you will require a high degree of relevant subject matter expertise, technical proficiency and an ability to work in a highly mobile, fast-paced environment.Duties will include, but are not limited to: Work with Contract Administrators, Project Managers, Construction Managers and Site Managers to conduct risk assessments, develop suitable risk management strategies and monitor risk throughout the project life cycle.Assist in the development of project documentation such as Risk Assessments and Project Management Plans.Maintenance of existing HSEQ initiatives, codes of practice and policies in line with evolving legislation and best practices.Undertake incident investigations using the "5-Whys" principle and drive corrective action(s) through to completion – presenting closure reports to Leadership Team.Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and decision-making skills.Act as our champion of pro-active safety management e.g.Take 5, HIRAC.Take ownership for the maintenance of the Integrated Management System.Onboard new Site Management and site-based staff into their established HSEQ systems & procedures.Maintain HSEQ training register for all staff.Administration of our paperless site management tool (Build Pass).Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are critical to the success of this role.The successful candidate is experienced in communicating with Site Managers, subcontractors, Project Management / Director staff but is also comfortable and confident in presenting key metrics and reporting to executive stakeholders as well as external clients.This is very much a live construction site-based role with minimal time spent within the corporate HQ environment.A fully maintained company vehicle is provided as part of the total remuneration package to support ongoing mobility in the role.Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within the local (Australian) construction industry.Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent tertiary qualification.Strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.Ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders (both internal and external) across site and office.Previous experience championing a high safety culture.Excellent communication skills – ability to influence decision-making through structured, relevant messaging.Current Drivers License and White Card (mandatory).Salary: up to $130k + Super + Car If this is something that may align with your experience and interest, then please click APPLY now or feel free to reach out to me for more info: 0466901687 / #J-18808-Ljbffr
