THE ROLE
The Operational Support Officer is a service support and supervision position in The Orange Door. The position works closely with the Hub Manager and The Orange Door staff to assist in the safe and effective delivery of services to Victorians seeking support through The Orange Door. The role will support daily management of The Orange Door, including budget management and the local corporate interface between Family Safety Victoria (FSV) and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH). The Operational Support Officer also supervises a team of Family Safety Victoria Orange Door staff.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Provide direct support to the Hub Manager to deliver the objectives of The Orange Door.
* Maintain partnerships and interface with DFFH Corporate Support at a local level.
* Contribute to the day-to-day operations and management of the Hub, including oversight of facilities management, information technology, car parks and fleet management, and security.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances. As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
