Job Description
You will be joining the Corporate Affairs team, which leads the company’s Communications, Marketing, Government Relations, Events and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, under our Corporate Affairs Director. This opportunity is a 9 month parental leave cover contract.
As our Head of Communications, you’ll have responsibility for driving delivery of our internal and external communications strategy across earned, owed and paid media. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business on all communications matters, and you’ll also play a key role in our presence at the 2025 Avalon Airshow.
This role spans the full range of comms, from strategic planning with the executive and senior leaders, to hands on tasks such as writing communications material and working with journalists to secure media coverage.
Opportunities to deliver impact in this role include:
In partnership with the Corporate Affairs Director, effecting change across the business;
* Driving employee engagement through a range of internal communications and events, and partnering with HR to develop and deliver proactive attraction and retention strategies;
* Building our external presence and reputation through earned, owned and paid channels;
* Supporting our presence at external events, particularly 2025 Avalon Airshow.
Qualifications
About you
You are a seasoned communications professional with a minimum of five years' experience in a challenging corporate environment.
You have proven results forming and executing internal and external communications strategies. You have demonstrable experience in driving reputation through earned, owned and paid media, particularly securing PR coverage.
You have knowledge of employer branding and have strong stakeholder engagement skills working with a range of functional leaders. You will work with all levels of the business from our CEO to front lines, so you must thrive when delivering end to end work from strategic to operational.
