Length of Engagement:12-months (with possibility of extension)Location:Candidates needs to be currently living in BallaratTarget Start Date:As soon as possible Position Title:Desktop Support Technician Position Description:This is an onsite role providing second-level end user IT support and problem resolution at our Client's site in Wendouree (Ballarat) for 3 days a week. You will occasionally need to provide remote support to other locations, in the event that each site’s primary lead is on leave. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Desktop PC & Laptop Hardware installation, setup and configuration, problem diagnosis and resolution.Support of MS Teams meeting room equipment.Facilitating user training sessions.General IT troubleshooting and assistance as required on site.Assisting with project work.Occasional participation in afterhours / weekend support & deployment activities as required.Ideally you will be qualified in an IT related discipline and have experience in supporting IT technologies including PC & Laptop Hardware support, Windows 10 operating systems, Outlook, MS Teams, MS Office and have a basic understanding of networking. Your attention to detail, natural curiosity, ability in problem solving, planning and priority setting coupled with a strong focus on customer service will put you in good stead for this role. A driver’s license is a must for this position, as you may occasionally be required to attend other sites.
