About the Role…
The hospital you will be working in is Tasmania’s largest hospital. It is a major referral centre for the area, along with being a significant clinical teaching and research site for the University of Tasmania. Medical, surgical and specialist services are delivered to approximately 250,000 people living across the southern region.
As the successful applicant, your responsibilities will include working as part of a multidisciplinary mental health service delivering high quality mental health care in accordance with National Mental Health Standards and frameworks, legislative requirements and organisational policies and procedures. You will be providing comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services; acting as a consultant to mental health professionals, health service providers and other agencies regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders; and undertaking supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers and other medical staff as appropriate.
