The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our busy Cardiac unit with strong clinical skills to manage acutely unwell patients with a wide range of coronary issues.
Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to):
* Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care-giving for a range of acute coronary and medical conditions
* Appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes.
* Identifies when a more detailed assessment and/or intervention is required and seeks the input of clinical peers, the Medical Officer and other relevant health professionals.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills that enhances and supports quality patient care and accuracy of clinical record, builds team trust and confidence
* Compliance with, and application of current policies and procedures and an understanding of their implications for nursing practice to achieve best practice patient outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria
1. Tertiary qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
2. Demonstrated coronary care experience including patient management with conditions such as acute Coronary Syndrome, Stemi/Non Stemi, Cardiac Arrthymias, Heart Failure, Acute Pulmonary Oedema, Pulmonary Emboli and the management of patients pre and post Coronary Angiography and Cardiac Device implants (highly desirable).
3. Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment that demonstrates knowledge and skills transferrable to a role in a coronary unit.
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, share information and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, promote confidence and satisfaction with patients, families and support persons.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements
It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
