Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details: The Staff Officer Sea Combat or Staff Officer Military Communications, in collaboration with the combined Cubic FFGD team, will be responsible for supporting the planning, management, and execution of Force Generation Sea Combat exercises. The location of the work will principally be undertaken in an office location at FHQ in Sydney. There will be requirements to travel in support of exercise planning and execution, and there may be requirements to deploy into the field or aboard military vessels and aircraft, as required to support exercise execution. This position is only available to Australian citizens. Permanent Residents and working visa holders will not be considered, as the incumbent must hold a current Australian Defence Security Clearance at minimum NV1 level, with ability to upgrade to NV2. Specific Responsibilities: Support the planning, management, and execution of single service joint enabled collective training activities, from a Surface Warfare perspective, as follows:Task Group Certification Exercises. Fleet Certification Period. Various exercises. Participate in Maritime Evaluation Team as the Surface Warfare specialist. Support the management of the funding of the above activities. Support the planning, management, and execution of single service joint enabled collective training activities (from a Military Communications perspective) as follows:Draft communications architecture plans for both exercise participants & exercise control. Maintain a knowledge of Military Communications equipment and procedures. Provide advice to senior staff regarding exercise information exchange protocols and procedures. Participate in Maritime Evaluation Team as the Communications specialist. The Person: The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and experience: Essential: Previous military experience as Naval Principal Warfare Officer/ Maritime Warfare Officer highly regarded OR alternatively, ex-Navy/RAAF officer with military communications experience.
