My client, a global manufacturer and leader in isolation valve solutions, offers a rare opportunity to join their Queensland team as a skilled Territory Sales Representative. With a commitment to growth in the resource sector, they are looking to bring in a professional with local industry knowledge to help strengthen their presence in the region. Based in Gladstone.
About the Role:
This role focuses on the coal industry with opportunities to support chemical and municipal clients as well. As the Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling isolation valve solutions to various customers in the resource sector. My client provides thorough product training and sales coaching to help you succeed and grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Build and manage relationships with a diverse range of clients, approaching mine sites directly and establishing connections with EPC companies across various client levels.
2. Focus on developing new accounts and expanding the existing install base to drive growth in the resource sector.
3. Present technical isolation valve solutions, demonstrating knowledge of client operations and resource sector needs.
4. Identify client pain points and uncover new sales opportunities to deliver top-notch service while representing the best brand in the industry.
5. Collaborate closely with service and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
6. Receive technical product and selling technique training.
Qualifications:
1. Candidates with 2-3 years of technical sales experience in similar roles, servicing the same clientele, are highly regarded.
2. Open to candidates with no sales experience, prioritizing mechanical aptitude, knowledge of the Gladstone resources sector, and a strong desire to transition into sales.
3. Familiarity with client operations and mine site access protocols within the local resources sector is essential.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, resilience, and curiosity when engaging clients at various levels.
5. Ideal backgrounds include Mechanical Fitter, TAFE graduate, apprentice, or Mechanical Engineer.
6. Interest in sales and a commitment to learning and development.
7. Ideal for those with hands-on industry experience, solid knowledge, and network of local clients, looking to transition into a commercial role that offers long-term career growth.
