The role The Senior Administration Officer for the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) is responsible for responsible for providing, developing, and maintaining an efficient, effective, ethical and high quality administrative and secretarial support across the Branch (ORI) when and as required. This role is required to contribute to the improvement of business processes and systems that enhance the functioning of the office and is a central point of coordination and communication to help drive professional development and enhancement of Branch culture. As the Office of Research and Innovation is growing rapidly, this role will also provide support across the Branch on HR activities and correspondence when and as required. Key responsibilities: Contribute towards ad hoc administrative functions across the Branch (ORI) by providing confidential, executive and secretarial support including the production of high-quality documents, diary management, travel and venue bookings and timely provision of documentation. Organise executive travel arrangements including planning itineraries, travel bookings, accommodation and preparation of expense claims. Manage administrative business processes including those relating to onboarding of staff, organisational charts and maintaining various registers. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Experience in providing high level confidential executive and administrative support to a fast-paced business unit/branch in a complex area of operation. Experience of working in research and/or understanding of the research ecosystem will be highly regarded. A basic understanding of contemporary project management methodologies will be highly regarded. Proven ability to utilise a high degree of initiative, autonomy, decision making and negotiation skills and reliability in operating independently with minimal guidance and direction and prioritising a busy workload. Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in contemporary computer software applications, including Microsoft Office (such as PowerPoint, Visio, etc), email and calendar applications and internet applications.
