The Opportunity
We are taking on Pharmacy Students to join our team at Slade Pharmacy in the highly regarded Hollywood Private Hospital, Western Australia. Gain hands-on experience and further develop your knowledge and skills in a multidisciplinary environment. With the support of an innovative and multidisciplinary team, you will provide excellent patient care and deliver high-quality pharmacy services.
About the Role
This is a casual position, ideal for Pharmacy Students looking to apply knowledge they gained in lectures into real-world scenarios in hospital pharmacy. The casual employment arrangement allows you the flexibility to work afternoons/evenings whilst juggling your studies.
As a Hospital Student Pharmacist, your duties will include:
* Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
* Delivery of medications to hospital wards.
* Inventory control and management.
* Process sales transactions and assist with account queries.
* Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication.
* Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees.
We have shifts available at different times which you will have the option to choose during the interview. Rostered shifts will usually include one weekend and one weeknight (04:00 pm to 07:00 pm).
About You
To be considered for the role, we will require the following:
* Current enrolment in pharmacy studies at a recognised Australian University.
* Ability to address client needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
* The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Preferred Requirements:
* Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
