Key Responsibilities
* Develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
* Perform Complex Functional Behavioural Assessments.
* Implement interventions within a variety of contexts (i.e. home, school and community).
* Enhance the skills and knowledge of those who care for persons with disability.
* Evaluate the quality of Behaviour Support Plans.
* Implement Restrictive Practices in accordance with Safeguard requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
In order to apply for this role, you must be a currently registered NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
We also expect you to have one or more of the following qualifications:
* A current NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Registration - Minimum of Core/Early Practicing.
In addition, the incumbent must hold one of the following:
* Tertiary degree qualification in Psychology and or Registered as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Tertiary qualification in counselling with a current registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work and Registered with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline - Education, psychology, behavioural science, applied behaviour analysis, counselling, or mental health.
* Positive Behaviour Support Education or Qualification (e.g., Monash, Flinders).
* Demonstrated experience working with people with psychosocial disability, families and Support Workers within a systems context.
* Demonstrated commitment to the values of dignity, respect, inclusion empowerment and confidentiality.
* Experience working with people with a disability who have high support needs.
* Understanding and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
* Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
