About the Role:
Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Assistants in Nursing & Midwifery to join the casual pool at various locations across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu region.
The successful candidate will work in one or more of our diverse health units located in Mt Barker, Strathalbyn, Gawler, Victor Harbor, Kingscote, Tanunda, Mount Pleasant, Angaston, Gumeracha, Kapunda, and Eudunda.
Opportunities are available to assist with the provision of professional high-quality care aimed at improving patient health outcomes across Acute, Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation, Midwifery, Aged Care, Chemotherapy and Transfusion, Emergency Theatre, and Renal Dialysis areas.
Casual Pool offers the flexibility and opportunity to move into many different areas within the nursing profession while achieving work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Registered Nurses with routine tasks associated with patients' activities of daily living.
* Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and may also be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse within a care team.
* Participate in an inter-disciplinary team to partner with consumers, displaying values of Trust, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Kindness.
Requirements:
* Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery.
* Completed any training relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level.
* Motivated and keen to learn, able to follow instructions, and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
