The Department of Health is seeking interest for a permanent full-time Trade Assistant (Plumbing) to join the Infrastructure - Facilities & Engineering team at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The role: Under the limited supervision of the Tradesperson (Plumber) or the Senior Tradesperson (Plumber), carry out the following duties:minor plumbing repairs;daily checking of grease traps and arrange and coordinate regular pump-out;minor welding repairs and fabrication;planned maintenance;cleaning roof gutters;cleaning plant rooms;erecting aluminium mobile scaffolding up to four metres high to interior and exterior as required;purchasing items using petty cash sourced from the Administration Officer;ordering of stock items from supply department.Action Building Engineering Information Management System (BEIMS) requests as directed, including the electronic lodgement of requests as required.Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties not specifically mentioned in this document that are within the capacity, qualifications, and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.Details of Appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies. Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
