The Role
We are seeking a talented Percussion specialist to be part of our passionate Percussion team. You will be an accomplished, qualified Percussionist looking to join a team that values collaboration and growth.
Reporting directly to the Head of Percussion, this is a casual opportunity working term weeks with a particular focus on developing students in percussion styles with an emphasis on concert band/orchestral percussion instruments, particularly keyboard percussion, at our Caulfield Campus.
You will be a natural at nurturing relationships with music staff and students from a variety of backgrounds, enjoy mentoring students during percussion lessons and be enthusiastic about assisting with school ensembles.
Key Duties
* Foster young talent and watch their growth under your guidance.
* Role model dynamic energy and innovative methods to motivate aspiring musicians.
* Build robust interpersonal relationships with both students and staff.
* Contribute and support the Schools Music Program across the School
* Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience tutoring in a school music program
* Adept at connecting with and teaching secondary aged students
* Ability to teach concert band/orchestral percussion, particularly keyboard percussion is essential
* Ability to teach drum kit, drumline and Latin American percussion are desirable
* Demonstrated experience with leading school ensembles, particularly concert bands, orchestras and percussion ensembles
* Valid and current Employment Working With Children Check.
