Position Information
Singleton Public School is situated in a semi-rural and mining township 60km west of Newcastle, made easily accessible by The Hunter Expressway. The school has a current population 375 students which includes 20 students enrolled in three Multi-Categorical support classes and of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Singleton Public School has a wonderful mixture of experienced and new scheme teachers who work together to foster a quality, learning environment that reflects our school’s expectations of Respect, Responsibility and Quality. The school has a focus on explicit teaching and wellbeing and has been part of the Primary Mathematics Specialist Teacher Initiative (PMSTI). The school provides a dynamic curriculum with a broad range of opportunities in, sporting, creative and performing arts and cultural activities.
The school is fortunate to have a very active and supportive P&C who work alongside the whole school community.
The school and staff are active members of the Singleton Learning Community and local Aboriginal Education Consultatative Group (AECG).
